Who are we?

Americans living abroad with an interest in better understanding the expat experience.

We strive to be as apolitical as possible, rather focusing on the cutlural and social aspects of americanism around the world.

We take pride in the United States’ contribution to the larger global culture and the lofty social ideals upon which the country grew. We recognize that it is an imperfect society with historical and current flaws, but believe in its resilence. We respect the countries we call home – and we imagine a world where American culture does not supplant but rather supplements the cultures of others.
